Anthropologie Inspired Hanging Lamp

Tutorials

Read the sequence from the top before cutting, painting, or moving pieces.

I asked Yanet if I could feature this months ago, and then got so behind I didn’t, but your wait is over- not that you knew what you were missing… Now you will know, do you want a cool Anrthopologie inspired lighting fixture for less? look at how Yanet from 3 Sunkissed Boys made hers:

For a while now I have been waiting for Anthropologie to mark down this wonderful lamp. I love the lamp but I really didn’t want to spend $148 on it. Have I mentioned that I am low-cost thrifty?   It’s still not on sale so I was clearly excited when I saw that Ashley Ann, of Ashley Ann Photography, had taken on a project to recreate this unique pendant light. This is her version of it.     She did a great walkthrough on it.  (Side Note: I love everything Ashley Ann does. I think she’s memorable. I completely blame her for starting my own blog.) Check her out her blog for the walkthrough, her striking photographs, her adorable babies, Handmade and more.   My neighbor, Alanna, found a great egg basket for me at our antiquing excursion this past weekend. It was well fitted for the Anthropologie knock-off re-creation! Here are some pictures of my final version and along the way.   These were white and I spray painted them with Rustoleum Oil Rubbed Bronze.   And the final product.   Before After

I love how much brighter the hallway now looks.

I haven’t forgotten about the freebie find I mentioned earlier this week. It just needs to be “tweaked” before the reveal and I haven’t had time to do that just yet.

Have a radiant weekend!   Isn’t that such a “bright” option! I love it, and it is so unique!
