Perhaps it’s because St. Paddy’s day is right around the bend, and I can’t stop thinking about that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Maybe it’s because winter here has been sooo cold and icy that I can’t get that tune from The Sound of Music out of my head: “Silver-white winters that melt into spring…” Who knows how it started? But the fact really is, I’ve got precious metals on the brain.
And I’m not the only one! Metal and faux metal finishes have been showing up all over blogland. There’s a chance that gold and silver leaf just may beat out chalkboard for faux finish of the year in 2013. (Totally kidding–I made up that statistic! But you never know, right?)
