Hey everyone! It’s Karah here again from thespacebetweenblog.net. Can you believe it’s already mid December? Hopefully you’re enjoying a festive (and stress free) holiday season so far. I have been soaking up every ounce of holiday spirit around and find that, for me, that means taking time to infuse a little holiday into every little detail.

But, I’m all about direct and low maintenance holiday decorating options. And this option really couldn’t be any simpler, this could even be a fun way to get the kids involved in holiday party prep if you’re going to be hosting something special.
I bought a package of mini ornaments for less than $3, but check your local thrift stores, too. You could create a fun, eclectic mix by gathering them individually over time.

straightforward Handmade Wine Charms
Simply tie a short piece of string through the ornament and around the stem of your wine glasses.
There was enough of a variety in my package of ornaments for 8 different charms, but you could also use a marker to number any ornaments that are the same, or maybe draw a direct shape, like a heart, diamond or a circle, to distinguish between two of the exact same ornaments.

I used jute twine that we had on hand, but you could use yarn or baker’s twine would look festive. Or, whatever you have, half the fun is just trying to use what you already have.
The holiday season the last few years has seen us in the midst of moving one year and mid way through a living room renovation last year. So it’s almost like opening a present when I pull out the decor and try to make all of our old things work in our new house. Maybe I’ll head out after Christmas and try to find some end of season deals, but for now, using what we already have is the way it’s going around here this year.

A few of the things we’ve created this year with items we already had include a pallet wood garland (well fitted for the rustic tree or mantel) …

… how to turn an old fabric scrap into a festive Handmade grain sack table runner (the well fitted way to add a little holiday color without feeling too decorated) …

… and my FREE gift tag option (hint: don’t just toss all of the greeting cards after the season is over!).

Whether you decorate large or small for the holidays, here’s to enjoying the time we get to spend with family and friends!! I hope this is the most wonderful holiday season for you yet!
