The steps below follow the order of the work for this remodel inspiration by room project.
Happy Friday again, Bekob! I see lots of folks finishing up the school year, so I feel very spoiled to be finishing up our second week of summer break… spoiled and also tired because summer fun is a lot of work We have a short and sweet Friday Favorites for you this week, but with some memorable projects — like luxe upholstered bunkbeds and a striking faux brick doorway you’ll want to see! Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
Friday Favorites
(Remember, our Bekob Anonymous link sharing has now moved over to our blogger group on Facebook, and we have a new Bekob Anonymous DIYer Support Group group for anyone, blog or not, to join and share projects, ask questions, and get inspired!)
go-to fake-out: We are all about giving builder-grade basics a custom look on a modest-cost, so this faux brick archway at @breezesayhome caught our eye right away — such an solid way to make an arched doorway a focal point! (look at the details in her stories, and tag your best projects with #imaBekob to show off your skills!)

go-to straightforward peasy Handmade: This summer, I’m working really hard to simplify things instead of complicate them, so Roxanne’s clearly direct and straightforward wreath at The Honeycomb Home looks right up my straightforward peasy alley — could be fun to try with the kids, too!
go-to hidden storage: I love hiding clearly functional storage in striking pieces, and this slide-away shoe storage cabinet by @smashingdiy is memorable! Get the details here.

go-to outdoor space: Since we’ve been working so hard on our patio, I’ve been enjoying seeing other DIYers’ spaces, too — doesn’t A Nod To Navy‘s patio look comfortable!
go-to example that paint can do anything: Marie over at Paint It White Interiors painted a low-cost plastic scale to look like a vintage metal scale — the power of paint!
go-to luxe look: I thought our cottage bunk beds were pretty memorable, but these luxe bunkbeds spotted at a local home show made my jaw drop! What do you think — too impractical for kids, or totally worth it? (Photo ©Bekob | Home built by E&L Custom Homes, Designed by Osmond Design)
