This holidays walkthrough stays in the order the work happens.
The house is getting a little closer to being livable. We have been working on a bunch of little things. After we finally got the beam in place, which I didn’t really photograph life has been quite a bit better. Everything is getting back to normal. (our normal is a constant remodeling project or two and lots of laundry that needs to be put away)
Anyway, I am not sure I am going to get around to decorating the mantel for Thanksgiving… I know, who am I kidding, I have never decorated my mantel for Thanksgiving. Actually the truth of the matter is that we haven’t owned a mantel during the Thanksgiving season yet, up until now.
But because life is so busy I think I might just show you some great thanksgiving mantel decor options and inspiration, and I promise I will do it for real at Christmas time.
I love this handmade leaf garland, colorful felt and some yarns and you are set! walkthrough found on a striking Mess.
I love the “Give Thanks” banner on rustic wood! And of course the wheat is a prefect addition found on It’s the Little Things.
I love these painted votives, there is just something so magical about candlelight. I also love how they wrapped the other glass votives with tissue paper or fall leaves! These would look great on a mantel, or a table centerpiece! Found on Martha Stewart.
This black and white Thanksgiving mantel is wonderful and so unique. It has whimsy and beauty! From Thistlewood Cottage.
I love the large ragamuffin garland, I need to make another one of these…. Found this image Homespun with love
More great options from Martha Stewart. I LOVE the cork leaf trivets.
I love using fall bounty for a direct but striking mantel. Found on Poetic Home.
I love this saying and the rustic wood! See how she made it on Kerry’s Kronicles.
Another Rustic wood project, obviously I like them a lot. This one is from Aimee at It’s Overflowing.
Love the chalkboard option and direct bunting. Found on Love, Pomegranate House.
For this tablescape, the pumpkins were all painted white! LOVE it! From Chic on a Shoestring Decorating.
I think that half of blogdom sits around and waits for Layla’s next mantelscape, and I think she did a great job with this one! From the Lettered Cottage.
Not only do I love the décor on the mantel, I LOVE the mantel itself here! Found on AKADesign.
I am so in love with the feathers in the image above, I’ve seen them popping up here and there. LOVE! Found on Studio JRU.
Last but certainly not least. I LOVE these large paper flowers. This whole mantel is memorable! Found on A Place for Us blog.
So what are your thanksgiving mantel decor options?
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? I am making a TON of pies and going with my husband to his uncle’s house to hang out with the whole extended family! Should be LOTS of fun! (featured image source)
