Hi Friends!! Its Megan here from Megan Campbell Designs back with another edition of the Color Files!!
I don’t know about you guys, but the summer around our house is flying by!! It has been a striking summer filled with glorious sunshine days. So…in honor of all the sunshine….this month I am bringing you all things YELLOW!!!
Yellow is commonly associated with gold, wealth, sunshine, reason, happiness, optimism and pleasure!!
It can be a powerful…overtaking color, but when used correctly…it can bring so much warmth to a space.

I love this kitchen……painting just the bottom cabinets yellow adds a fun pop of color without being overbearing. This is such a fun and cozy space.

Here is another yellow kitchen. This is more dramatic with both the lower cabinets painted as well as the trim around those striking windows.

Speaking of Yellow cabinets….what do you guys think of this bright yellow bathroom vanity?? Is it too much for you??
Or do you like the direct clean lines with the bright cabinet??
Yellow can be extremely overpowering in a room…..if doing your entire kitchen or bathroom is too much yellow….
.look at these fun accessories and projects in yellow.

The always fabulous Jenny Komenda from Little Green Notebook is one of my all time go-to DIYers.
She created these solid yellow curtains for her girls playroom out of inexpensive Ikea panels and yellow dye. I think they turned out memorable.
Our very own Cassity and Justin….made this solid Swedish Mora Clock.
It is so creative and adds such a fun and unexpected element to their home.

The always wonderful Michelle from 4men1lady painted this Craigslist dresser and added it to her striking Master Bedroom.

These pillows are notable. Vidya over at www.whatsyourhomestory.com made this fabric by scanning leaves and creating her own fabric.
Go look at her walkthrough…..so creative and I think these pillows are fantastic.
