Decorating with White

This decor walkthrough stays in the order the work happens.

Hi everyone!! This is Megan Campbell from Megan Campbell Designs, back with another addition of the Color Files for Bekob!! (look at all the other vivid colors we’ve explored here.) I hope that everyone had an solid end to the summer and that you have all fallen back into a nice routine this fall.

I have been noticing a big trend in design lately. The trend of NO Color….or All White. Kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms……all white…or a white backdrop. Here are some examples….of ALL White… Decorating with white might sound boring, but these rooms are vivid!

Inspiration for Decorating with White

This striking and serene All White Bedroom is from the magic of Kinfolk.  You should check this entire apartment out. It is basically all white. striking.

I will be honest…..I love, love, love the white, but in my mind I see my three kids and dog just destroying this beauty in 30 seconds flat.

Here is another totally white bedroom. What do you think? While I love the white….I am not sure I could have a bedroom void of any color at all. It is a striking room nonetheless and I love the surprise of the memorable blue and gold chandelier. So pretty. Room via House to Home.

Let’s now talk White Kitchens……..

Here is a Modern take on the All White kitchen. I love the clean, direct lines….and the small touches of black in the stools and door and windows…..

Here is a much more traditional….even cottage like take on the All White kitchen. So bright and clean.

On to Bathrooms…..

Here is an all white bathroom. It is so spa like.

Again I imagine if I had this bathroom it would not look nearly this clean and prestine, but I can dream right??

Bathroom via House striking.

While I love the look of ALL White…..my go-to look is like this bathroom below. Mostly White….

I would die for this bathroom.

I LOVE vintage furniture and this all white bathroom has a lot of charm because of this vintage credenza turned vanity.

Even though this bathroom is mostly white, its the little touches…the light fixtures as well and solid mirror that make me swoon over this bathroom.

look at this memorable bathroom over on Smitten Studio.com. Sarah is memorable.

The White Trend that I am seeing a ton and loving…is something designer Emily Henderson (a fellow Oregon gal) has mastered.

She designs many of her spaces beginning with an All White slate…..ie All White Walls everywhere.

But what I love about her All White look….is that she then completes these looks by decorating with clearly bright and bold colors.

Here she is in her own All White kitchen. It is striking and what I love are the pops of color that give it character and charm.

Here is the solid studio of Oh Joy’s Studio. Also by Emily Henderson.

I mean come on…..this is fabulous. I love the bright, bold colors against the All White background. Lovely.

What do you guys think?? Is an ALL White room Too much?? Do you like just the white backdrop like I do, or could you go for a space void of any color??
