Great hidden laundry room using a barn door featured on Bekob.com

This barn door- sliding door setup from a striking antique door makes this laundry room! Not every interior door in the house needs match. These feature door bring some added style. If you don’t have room for the barn door hardware option then a pocket door would give you a similar effect. And just a reminder, you don’t have to buy a new door for it to be fabulous- in fact an antique door from a restore is a great option!  Image source

Fabulous Laundry room design options from @Bekob

I love this hallway stacked washer and dryer laundry closet. It is simply the machines, but I love how the door opens and pushes back into the space to give you the most room possible, in such a tight space. This is a great example of how just a little extra thought, makes for a usable space. It is also well fitted for guests or an air bnb where you don’t need a full laundry room, just access to the machines. (now if they had a pullout counter surface between the units they would be 100% golden!)

Closet Laundry with pretty storage featured on Bekob.com

This is another one of those great modest-cost options for a hall. I LOVE the cubbies they created with inexpensive shelving wood! direct French doors style, closet doors, contain the busy. If you are worried about ventilation in a small hallway where the doors might need to be closed while running a load, consider louvered doors that allow for air flow even when the door are closed. Smart! Image Source

Laundry in a closet compact but well designed featured on Bekob.com

Another great compact laundry closet with three appliances. Not exactly a pantry, but the bottle cooler, is a nice bonus feature of the space, especially if you want one but don’t have a place for it. I want to point out a really direct feature. Having a space for a basket to collect random dirty kitchen or hand towels, and socks from around the house is a great useful feature to include in these spaces. Love the built in open shelving next to it! well fitted!  Image source

I love this whole laundry room in a closet! It even has a SINK! The pullout ironing board is also a dream feature, because most of us just need a quick iron option for fast fixes. Out of site when not in use but a great size when open! Notice the accordion doors that allow for a really open space. this is not your average closet laundry, because it is quite large. The cabinetry with space to hang out shirts is also a fabulous feature.   Image Source

WOW! This laundry room hidden in a bathroom is striking! Notice the bifold doors on just one side, as an option where 2 doors wouldn’t fit. One side has plenty of room, but the other is tight because to the placement of the sink. This closest also has very useful extra storage for bathroom needs like clean towel freshly laundered. This bathroom and laundry also has notable natural light it feels like a happy oasis of light. Which is a huge bonus feature in any interior space!   Image Source

hidden washing machine without having to build it in featured on Bekob.com

This great option doesn’t require any built in cabinetry for those who lack those skills. Rather you could accomplish this look with a tensions rod shower bar and your go-to fabric. It can even be no sew with the right adhesive sewing products. Or head to the curtain part of the store and buy them premade. You can still keep your machines out of site and layer on the style. !  Image Source

  • Safety. When hiding a laundry room in built-ins make sure to allow for proper venting, etc. review your dryer manual for specific instructions.
  • Space Saving. Think of ways to really save on space. Use doors that slide back into the space or sliding barn doors, fold out ironing boards, etc. and think of spaces that might not be heavily used, like under stairs, or even a linen closet.
  • Think Pretty. Allow the inside of the closet to be organized with shelves, baskets, and more. And then make the outside work seamlessly in with your home decor by creating striking doors, to highlight the feature
  • Designing the space. What is the average size for a Laundry room door? The doorway should be at minimum of 32″ (maybe you could get away with 30″, often most machines are approximately 30″ wide, a little extra space in the door will help you be able to fit your appliances in place, and replace them if necessary
